Welcome to Affirm with Amy. By accessing this website or engaging in therapeutic services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are here to support transparency, safety, and respectful use of this space.

Scope of Services

Affirm with Amy offers counselling services via in-person, telephone, and secure telehealth platforms. Services are provided by an AASW-registered Social Worker and are intended for therapeutic support not crisis intervention or emergency care.

Website Use

• All content on this website is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice or a therapeutic relationship.

• You agree not to reproduce, distribute, or misuse any content without written permission.

• You may not use this site for unlawful, harmful, or disruptive purposes.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Your privacy is respected in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Personal information collected through this site or during counselling is handled securely and ethically. Please refer to the full Privacy Policy for details.

Telehealth - Video Conferencing

Telehealth sessions are conducted via secure, encrypted platforms. You’re encouraged to choose a private, quiet space to protect your own confidentiality.

Please ensure you are in a quiet, private space with reliable internet access for your telehealth appointment. If the internet connection drops out, I will call you from a private number to continue the session by phone. 

Telehealth - Telephone 

Please ensure you’re in a quiet, private space for your scheduled phone session. I’ll call you from a private number at the agreed time. If you miss the call, I’ll try again within a few minutes. If I am unable to reach you within 15 minutes the appointment will be considered missed.

Fees & Cancellation Policy:

Current session fees for a 50 min therapy session $165 for Private paying clients. NDIS clients are charged in accordance with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.

 Fees for supplementary or non-standard consultations will be advised at the time of booking an appointment. 

 Private health insurance rebates may be available. You will need to contact your Private Health Insurer to discuss further. Our fees may change from time to time at the absolute discretion of Affirm with Amy. Where a fee is changed, this Fee and Cancellation Policy will be updated to reflect the change.  Existing clients will be provided with one month’s notice of the change in fee. 

 Cancellation Policy 

Where a client provides a short-notice cancellation or does not attend a scheduled appointment, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee.  Notice is to be given via email to amy@affirmwithamy.com.au or via reply to the reminder text message, as this gives us the greatest likelihood of your appointment being filled by someone from our waitlist.Cancellations, reschedules, or no-shows within 48 hours of your appointment incur the full session fee. This policy helps maintain consistency, respect the time set aside for you, and ensure sustainability for a small practice with limited availability.

 Communication

• Email and phone contact are available for scheduling only. Therapeutic support is provided during sessions.

• Telehealth sessions are conducted via secure, encrypted platforms. You are responsible for ensuring a private, safe space during sessions.

Limitations

• Services are not suitable for acute crisis support. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, please contact 000 or Lifeline (13 11 14).

• Therapeutic outcomes vary and are influenced by many factors. No guarantees are made regarding specific results.

Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the website or services indicates acceptance of any changes.
